Hardware 101

There are tens of thousands of hardware items offered by the manufacturers we feature.  There is an excellent chance we can provide our customers with the product you want or need.  That being said, it can be extremely difficult matching older hardware.  If we use a bit of imagination, we can provide a solution to your task or job.

Your hardware is just that, your hardware.  Many times when you purchase cabinets, doors, vanities or the like, no hardware is included.  Before any holes are made, consider the hardware you want.  Once those holes are there, our choices become limited.  If you do have holes, we need the dimensional information.  For cabinet hardware, handles or pulls, hardware that mounts with two or more screws, we need to know the distance center to center of the holes.  Measure the holes on the cabinets or furniture, measuring the handle can be misleading.  For locksets, it is even more complicated.  People doors frequently come prepped from your supplier which can limit your choices of door knobs or levers.  In other words, again consider your hardware before you make the decision how to have your new front door prepped.

Hardware is like many other products, in that it covers a spectrum of prices.  Cabinet hardware for instance ranges from $1 to $50 or more per piece.  Most of our hardware is in the $3 to $20 range.  Locksets range from $15 to $300 per piece.  Bath accessories like towel bars, towel rings, and tissue holders range from $15 to $200.

Visit or call, we are here to help.
